Maintenance Engineer - Poynton
Hours:
Mon-Thu 7:30-16:00, Fri 7:30-15:30
We're recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support a busy industrial site. You'll handle planned and reactive maintenance, equipment repairs, statutory inspections and ensure the smooth running of key machinery.
Key Duties
Manage and update the preventative maintenance schedule
Respond to breakdowns across cranes, saws, FLTs and other plant equipment
Arrange statutory inspections with approved providers
Carry out PAT testing and general maintenance tasks
Maintain accurate maintenance records and daily activity logs
Support health & safety, quality and environmental compliance (ISO standards)
Work with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe working practices
Occasional out-of-hours support when required
What We're Looking For
Experience in a maintenance or engineering role
Strong mechanical/electrical fault-finding abilities
Comfortable working with a variety of industrial equipment
Good organisational and communication skills
A proactive, safety-first mindset
