Overview
Treatment Coordinator - Oral Surgery/Dental (on-site position, not remote or hybrid)
Location:
Powell, OH
We are an elite oral surgery practice committed to exceptional patient care and first-class service to referring doctors. We are looking for a fun, hardworking, compassionate, team player to help us grow the practice and serve our community with all of their oral surgery needs. Previous oral surgery experience is a plus but not required.
The role of the Treatment Coordinator is critical in providing exceptional patient care resulting in the best clinical outcomes and meeting the needs of our patients.
Responsibilities- The Treatment Coordinator will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, provide cost estimates, and collect patient financial responsibility.
- Manage the doctors’ schedules and communications with patients and referring offices.
- Provide concierge level customer service while interacting with patients, referring offices, and team members over the phone, in person, or via electronic communication.
- Update and maintain patient insurance information.
- Maintain doctor schedule to ensure efficient use of the doctor’s time.
- Partner with the clinical team to ensure an excellent patient experience.
- Adhere to deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule.
- Collect payments from patients in an effective and professional manner.
- Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop treatment plans from diagnosis.
- Effectively communicate treatment options and associated costs to the patient.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience required.
- Medical or dental experience preferred.
- Understanding of dental terminology.
- Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence.
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work cross functionally with other team members.
