Nurse Practitioner; NE-Urgent Care-Ramona

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the assigned leader and in clinical cooperation with a licensed physician, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will diagnose and treat health conditions, promote good health practices, and ensure the best patient care possible.

• Conduct physical examinations, interpret laboratory tests, and oversee patients’ health.
• Support disease prevention practices and assist patients in leading healthy lives.
• May be assigned to specialties such as acute care, urgent care, neonatal care, pediatrics, cardiology, family medicine, or orthopedics.
• Examine patients and review medical records; order and analyze diagnostic tests (blood tests, X‑rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses; propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications, maintain accurate records and schedules, and inform patients about their conditions and prescribed therapies.
• Educate patients and their families about diseases, epidemics, and prevention strategies.
• Oversee patients’ overall health and collaborate with physician counterparts to manage healthcare needs for specified patient populations.
• Function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate efforts that maximize clinical and financial outcomes.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Current certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  0–1+ years working with adult patients as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Required Licenses:
  Current California Nurse Practitioner License and Current California RN License.
• Required Certification: CA State Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with National Certification;
  American Heart Association recognized BLS – Healthcare Provider.
• Required Skills:
  
  Ability to speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions; proficiency with standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier) and computer software (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e‑mail).
• Required Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficient keyboard use, mouse operations, selection of items, use of drop‑down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying, etc., within the first two weeks of employment.
