Radar Technician Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. The Radar Technician will fabricate, modify, assemble, install, operate, repair, and maintain complex laboratory, experimental, and commercial equipment. The role includes assisting in the design of basic lab and commercial equipment, performing complex experiments and tests, and recording, reducing, and summarizing data.
This position is part of the MPEx team located in Poway, CA.

Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct depot level repair, integration, and testing, modification, and operation of complex synthetic aperture radar (SAR) / ground moving target indicator (GMTI) and other airborne sensors.
- Operate specialized test equipment in troubleshooting and maintaining sensors, both in the laboratory and in the field.
- Performs and/or assists in fabrication, modification, assembly, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of complex laboratory, experimental, and commercial equipment.
- May assist in the design of basic lab, experimental, and commercial equipment.
- Applies specialized knowledge and skills pertinent to the organizationಾಜ, project, or program assigned.
- Will utilize SAP processes to track defective components.
- Typically requires an associate's degree or equivalent with seven or more years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Ability and willingness to work on systems with unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to@property the field.

- Must have analytical ability to read and understand detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications. Communication skills necessary to write and record precise information.
- Special skills and expertise to use complex equipment or experimental techniques.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
Job Type: Full‑Time Hourly. Salary range: 65,410 - 99,888.
