Job DescriptionThe role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to provide high‑quality, non‑medical care and support services with professionalism, empathy, compassion, kindness, and respect.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Ensure a safe environment for clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia or related behaviors.
- Assist with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.).
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance.
- Transfer and ambulation support.
- Transportation to appointments, shopping, errands, outings.
- At least 3 months of professional caregiver experience.
- Must be, or willing to register as, a California Home Care Aide (HCA).
- Clear a criminal background check (DOJ/FBI).
- Current negative TB test (or willingness to complete one).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Minimum age 18.
- Provide two forms of (driver’s license, social security, passport, birth certificate).
- Follow client care plans, safety precautions, and procedures.
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or health status.
- Communicate effectively and respond to office communications promptly.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Professional appearance.
- Kind, empathetic, compassionate, respectful, and positive attitude.
- Passion for helping others improve their quality of life while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and documentation.
- Paid training (at minimum wage).
- Bi‑weekly pay.
- Flexible schedule (4‑ to 15‑hour shifts; day, evening, overnight, weekend available).
