Diazyme uses proprietary enzyme technologies to develop diagnostic reagents employed on most automated chemistry analyzers. Products include test kits for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer markers, renal disease, diabetes, and electrolytes.
We have an opening for a Bio Technician Equipment Service Tech on the Technical Support team. The position supports chemistry and chemiluminescence instrumentation for research and development activities of clinical diagnostic products.
Responsibilities- Participate in an interdisciplinary team supporting chemistry and chemiluminescence instrumentation and other laboratory equipment for life science research and development experiments.
- Service, maintain, install, and provide training for laboratory equipment required for R&D activities.
- Analyze and diagnose equipment errors to identify timely solutions and minimize downtime.
- Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, installation of analyzers, and training.
- Maintain and update a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic or hard‑copy project records.
- Present findings during R&D meetings.
- Complete and submit various good manufacturing practices (GMP), safety, and regulatory documents as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Typically requires an associate’s degree in biology, microbiology, or a related discipline and three or more years of related experience in an academic or industrial biology or microbiology laboratory. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for education.
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or engineering preferred.
- General understanding of biological/biochemistry theories and principles, laboratory protocols, and regulatory and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and propose solutions to moderately complex problems.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to convey information to all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Computer literacy, including basic office and scientific software.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to work extended hours as required.
- Ability to travel to customer sites occasionally and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full‑Time Hourly. Salary range: $52,020 – $77,325.
