• Supervision of patient services staff to ensure efficient daily operation of patient and cafe food services.
• Oversees staff training, development, coaching, education, and discipline.
• Responsible for sanitation standards and requirements.
• Supervises area quality, timeliness, staffing issues, facilitates in-service/meetings, and manages special projects assigned by the manager.
• Responsible for performance improvement for room service, including recovery.
• Ensures ongoing regulatory readiness of staff and service.
• Oversees inventory, supplies, stocking; ensures food service areas are maintained, clean, orderly, and consistent.

• Speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment and computer software (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail).
• Proficient Windows computer skills (keyboard, mouse, dropdowns, folders, etc.).
• Performs other duties as assigned; follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards; carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
• Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in nutrition, food service management
• Dietary certificate or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: 3 years food service management
• Preferred Experience: 2 - 3 years healthcare food service management
• 1 year healthcare food service management at Palomar Health
• Required Certification: Certified Food Safety Manager
• Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
• Required License: Valid Driver's License
• Preferred License: Not Applicable
