We are a dynamic bookkeeping firm that provides accounting services to a diverse client base. Our team is dedicated to delivering accurate financial reporting, payroll processing, and strategic insights. We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role requires travel to client locations to provide on‑site accounting support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist clients with month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to clients on financial performance.
  • Submit payroll for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Travel to client locations for on‑site bookkeeping and financial reporting support.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, addressing accounting inquiries and providing recommendations.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and working with auditors as needed.
  • Stay up to date on accounting best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (experience in a public accounting firm is a plus).
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with payroll processing and submissions.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed (valid driver’s license and own transportation required).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
  • Experience with nonprofits is an added plus.
