Job Overview

A respected regional healthcare system is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing Medical Oncology team at a renowned tertiary care hospital. This position is primarily focused on providing advanced clinical care in the outpatient setting
, collaborating closely with physicians and nurses to deliver comprehensive, high-quality cancer care. The successful candidate will play a critical role in patient management, education, and quality initiatives within an established center of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Patient Care: Coordinate, oversee, and provide advanced care to medical oncology patients.
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive and episodic health history and physical assessments of patients.
  • Treatment Management: Oversee treatment infusions and manage supportive care needs for patients.
  • Order Writing: Write orders within the limits of the practice agreement and clinical protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with group practice standards.
  • Quality and Research: Participate in clinical quality improvement activities and research initiatives as required.
  • Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers thoroughly regarding treatment plans, side effects, and ongoing care.

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other care team members.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification: Current certification/licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Experience in Medical Oncology is preferred.
