Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a NY RN license, BLS, ACLS, and immunotherapy and chemotherapy certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit
- Care for oncology patients with potential for immunotherapy and chemotherapy administration
- May float to Med/Surg districts and surge areas as required
- Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Alternating weekend shifts required
- Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients requiring chemo and immunotherapy
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic setting
- Testing and educational modules must be completed prior to assignment start
- Two recent positive professional references in the specialty required for consideration
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
- Returning employees are subject to an eligibility review process
- Active NY RN license required
- Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or med/surg nursing
- Immunotherapy and chemotherapy certification required
- Oncology nursing certification preferred
