PositionMulti-Unit Team Leader – you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You will lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business and deliver an outstanding client experience while achieving office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. This role is not remote and requires in-person work.
You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three tax offices and develop a cohesive, high-performing team.
- Lead the daily operations, including staff development, client service delivery, and achievement of growth targets for all three offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Collaborate with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets; develop local partnerships and manage office community involvement.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center.
- Build an engaging team environment, across all offices, by training and coaching associates and recognizing contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making, judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).

Pay Range InformationThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits as described below.
- Pay Range: $16.50 - $40.00 per hour.
