Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

349-bed acute care teaching hospital | Level II Trauma Center

Unit Overview:
Respiratory Care / Medical Step-Down Unit caring for high-acuity patients, including:

• Ventilators, tracheostomies, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen

• Continuous drips:
  Cardene, Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, amiodarone, hypertonic saline

• Float may be required

Charting System:
Cerner

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
1:3 – 1:6 depending on acuity

Requirements:

• Active New York RN License

• BLS Certification

• ACLS Certification

• Minimum 2+ years of Progressive Care / Step-Down experience
