To provide ongoing, comprehensive and innovative services to people with disabilities, Abilities First is committed to building and supporting future leaders. We provide a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight into the work of our organization from direct support services, teaching to marketing and fundraising.

There are many ways to gain valuable hands‑on experience in the form of internships, fieldwork or shadowing opportunities. Whether you are majoring in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Art Therapy, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Speech Pathology, Occupational or Physical Therapy, the Abilities First Human Resources department will assist you in finding the right placement based on your interests and career goals.

• Internships are open to students
• Internships are unpaid and students must be able to receive course credit from their educational institution
• Schedule to be determined to fit candidate’s availability, the requirements of their educational institution, and course credit requirements

• A desire to share your skills or interests to contribute to the quality of life of the people we support!
