Vassar Brothers Medical Center
, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an additional Medical Oncologist to join its employed and growing division. Training and/or experience in GI/GU is preferred. Our model of care is multi-disciplinary and integrated, working toward disease site-specific care. In collaboration with Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, we are developing a cohesive team of medical oncologists and allied health providers that will function in a comprehensive and integrated model of care.

Sign-on bonus and relocation
: A $50,000 sign-on bonus/retention package plus relocation allowance is available for full-time candidates.

Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. The program is growing and currently sees approximately 1,800 analytic cancer cases yearly. Key elements include state-of-the-art radiation oncology, and surgical specialty services in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary oncology, and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Oncology nurses are credentialed, genetic counseling and screening are available onsite, and there is ample opportunity to pursue research and clinical trials.

Located on the banks of the Hudson River, the center offers a modern inpatient pavilion with 263 private rooms and 30 critical care rooms. The organization provides leading acute and critical emergency care, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Centers of excellence include cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women’s health. The program is recognized among the strongest cardiac programs in the United States.

Compensation
: $400,000–$600,000 per year, relative to experience and position.
