Job Title:
Construction Estimator
A leading Site/Civil construction firm specializing in a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure development is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for site/civil construction projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure development by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Develop and maintain pricing databases and cost models to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to incorporate into overall project estimates.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects, ensuring that all bids are comprehensive and align with project specifications and client requirements.
- Manage change orders and ensure accurate pricing adjustments. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address changes in project scope and budget.
- Utilize HCSS software for estimating and project management, ensuring that all estimates are accurately entered and maintained within the software.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates, participating in project meetings and providing input on cost-related matters.
- Monitor and report on project costs and budgets, providing regular updates to management on cost performance and potential issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the site/civil construction industry.
- Proficiency in HCSS software.
- Strong knowledge of change orders, pricing, and bidding processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project management, construction, estimation, and bidding.
- Familiarity with heavy civil and site development, highways, and roadways.
- Experience with pre‑construction, cost estimate, proposals, civil construction, highway construction, bridge construction, roadway construction, and RFI.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $88.00 - $90.00/hr.
