A leading global manufacturer with a long-established U.S. presence is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support one of its flagship production facilities located near Pottsville, PA. As a third‑party recruitment partner, we are managing this search confidentially on behalf of the client.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role within plant finance, providing critical insight to both operations and leadership, and will be positioned as a successor to the Controller.

Reporting directly to the Plant Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate daily, monthly, and annual financial and operational reporting. This individual will drive manufacturing financial analysis, support strategic decision-making, and help maintain strong internal controls. The role offers broad exposure across plant operations, financial planning, and leadership—ideal for someone ready to step into a future Controller position.
Key Responsibilities- Support monthly close processes including P&L, capital base, and operational cash flow reporting
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to plant management and line leaders
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles
- Monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and manufacturing performance analysis
- Approve vouchers and assist with payroll allocation checks
- Provide financial data for capital appropriations
- Lead reporting for KPIs, SG&A, and annual operating plans
- Conduct cost studies, customer-profitability analysis, and standard cost reviews
- Maintain and analyze cost data within SAP
- Lead semiannual inventory counts and annual fixed asset inventories
- Support the Controller and operations team with executive-level reporting requests
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
- Flex work hours as needed during peak cycles
- 5+ years in financial analysis, ideally within manufacturing or plant operations
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Experience reconciling inventory accounts and analyzing inventory movement
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing KPIs
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP preferred)
- Proven background in capital expenditure tracking and financial reporting
- Strong grasp of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance standards
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to turn data into strategy and convey insights through data-driven storytelling
- Self-starter comfortable leading monthly reporting cycles and process improvements
- Demonstrated accountability, execution rigor, and stakeholder influence
