Security Officer

Overview

Job Summary - Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides way finding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.

Full Time Day Shift, hours are 7am-3:30pm with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

• Screen individuals, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Monitor surveillance and weapons screening systems; respond to and report security concerns promptly.

• Education Requirements - Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for the role;
  High School Diploma OR GED OR relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Experience - Relevant experience
• Certification and Licensure - BLS Certification; IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement;
  Current Valid Driver's License
