Pathology Assistant​/Lab Manager

The Pathologist Assistant / Laboratory Manager provides medical and operational leadership for our clinical laboratory. This role combines diagnostic pathology responsibilities with oversight of laboratory operations, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and staff leadership. Assists the Pathologists with case detail necessary for correlating gross specimen findings with the microscopic findings as they formulate final diagnoses

• Provide diagnostic pathology services in accordance with professional standards
• Review and interpret surgical pathology and/or cytology cases (scope based on lab needs)
• Consult with clinicians on test selection, interpretation, and clinical correlation
• Oversee daily laboratory operations, staffing, and workflow efficiency
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA
• Supervise and mentor laboratory staff and technical leadership
• Collaborate with medical staff, and external partners
• Support accreditation inspections and internal audits
• Other duties as assigned

• BS and/or MS Degree Graduate of an AAPA approved program
• Holds or eligible for PA (ASCP)
  CM Board Certification with AAPA Board Certification and Fellow Status.
• Minimum of two years’ experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Clean and presentable appearance
