Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our growing electronics company in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping and financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of records, and supporting leadership with insightful financial reporting. This is a hands-on position that requires proficiency in Quick Books Online and a strong understanding of small business accounting.

Responsibilities:

- Handle daily bookkeeping tasks, including entering transactions, performing reconciliations, and managing month-end close processes.

- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial records.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice matching, bill entry, vendor payments, and customer payment tracking.

- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, merchant processors, and inventory-related transactions.

- Monitor cash flow and prepare detailed weekly and monthly financial reports.

- Manage inventory-related accounting tasks, including tracking and adjustments for electronics products.

- Prepare and review financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts for the organization.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain documentation for audit readiness.

- Collaborate with external tax professionals for quarterly and annual filings.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of bookkeeping or controller-level experience in a small business environment.

- Advanced knowledge of Quick Books Online, including its reporting features and integrations.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles for small businesses.

- Experience with inventory accounting, preferably in manufacturing, wholesale, or product-based operations.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Strong communication skills to interact with ownership, vendors, and external partners.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
