Job SummaryThe Tool Shop Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of molds, tools and equipment used in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mold and die making, welding, injection molding processes, and CNC machining programming.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for mold maintenance in a timely manner (tear down, grease, ejector pins and address any issues the mold has at the time)
- Welding and fabricating various materials (aluminum/steel molds, pipes, platforms, etc.)
- Accurately measuring materials for fabricating, cutting and fitting needs
- Running a lathe, mill, surface grinder and other basic tool shop equipment
- Use of hand tools, drill/grinders/pneumatic tools
- Programming CNC machines
- Reading print and CAD files
- Setting up production machines
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate in tool and die making preferred
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Welding experience
- Math skills required for taking precision measurements
- Knowledge of injection molding processes and related tooling preferred
- Experience with CNC machining programming and operating manual and CNC machines
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
