Description: 7 th & 8 th Grade STEM

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:

• Develop and execute hands‑on 7th & 8 th Grade STEM lesson plans that meet Oklahoma state standards for students.
• Use a variety of teaching methods - including practical activities, experiments, and technology to engage students in 7 th & 8 th Grade STEM learning.
• Provide clearand straightforward instructions to ensure students grasp concepts and can apply them in real‑world situations.
• Create and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork among students.

Classroom Management and Assessment:

• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment where all students feel comfortable participating and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior and address individual student needs in a fair and consistent manner.
• Assess student learning through various methods, including formative and summativeassessments, projects, and presentations.
• Offer regular feedback to students on their progress and areas for growth.

Other Duties:

• Supervise students during out‑of‑classroom activities, such as field trips, lunch periods, and recess.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including attendance and dress code.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or supervisor.

• Attend trainings through Oklahoma Career Tech.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Science- STEM‑related field, such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Oklahoma teaching license or equivalent certification.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create and implement an engaging and effective Science - STEM - focused curriculum.
