Position: CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA) OR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) SPECIALIST - AMBULATORY QUALITY

Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate, patient-oriented Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Specialist to join our team.

$1000 SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION

Responsibilities
  • Medicare Wellness visits under the supervision of the primary physician.
  • Schedule follow-up visits and process referrals and authorizations as needed.
  • Document all actions in the patient’s chart.
  • Room patients, record vital signs, administer medications and injections, and perform CLIA-waived testing.
  • Perform EKG testing, set up for and assist with in-office procedures, and properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste.
  • Stock supplies and demonstrate good aseptic technique and standard precautions; understand proper order of draw and specimen processing and basic pharmacology.
  • Work closely with multiple departments and providers to ensure the patient’s chart and information are complete for treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and

Preferred Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), NCCT, or NHA, or current LPN licensure in the State of Idaho.
  • Aware of cleaning standards and able to perform accordingly.
  • Ability to relate to and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills for safe and effective patient care and documentation standards.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
  • One year of CMA or LPN experience required.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
