Overview

Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem. Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital in Post Falls, Idaho, dedicated to patients with serious, medically complex conditions that require extended hospitalization and specialized care. We provide advanced critical care services for individuals recovering from severe illness or injury, including ventilator weaning and respiratory therapy, complex wound care, post-intensive care rehabilitation, and management of multiple organ system conditions.

Our highly skilled team delivers around-the-clock care with a focus on stabilizing health and promoting recovery. The hospital features advanced monitoring equipment and private rooms to enhance patient comfort and safety. The IRU will provide acute rehabilitation services to patients with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac and respiratory disease. Recognized with the AARC Quality Respiratory Care award and accredited by The Joint Commission, Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital offers a healing, family-like environment where each patient receives compassionate, life-sustaining care on their journey to wellness.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and treats patients with breathing disorders.
  • Performs lab functions.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for all respiratory care treatments.
  • Integrates the hospital s mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.
Qualifications
  • Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist required.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • One (1) year recent experience in acute care setting preferred.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, initiative, problem solving, decision making, prioritizing and organizational skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
