Knudtsen Chevrolet is seeking an Automotive Service Business Development Representative to join the Knudtsen team. Knudtsen is a family‑owned and operated company that provides the community with new and used cars, a full‑service body shop and service department, as well as Genuine GM Parts. As a Service Business Development Representative, you would serve as a front‑line representative for the Service Department. You would be an integral part of creating valuable, lifelong customer relationships and would directly impact the customer experience at Knudtsen Chevrolet. Continuing product, process, and service specific training would be provided.

• Assist customers of overflow phone calls for the service desk and schedule appointments if needed.
• Promptly respond to and/or generate service leads with customer history, thus making a quality and timely response to customers via their preferred method of contact. Schedule appointments as necessary.
• Make outbound phone calls to confirm appointments 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, and within 24 hours of a missed appointment to reschedule.
• Call customers after warranty service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide back‑up to service Warranty Administrator.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

• A team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Self‑motivated and hard‑working.
• Basic computer skills, working ability of Word, Excel, etc., and ability to learn database management software.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills, and the ability to read and interpret documents.
• Must be able to use a multi line phone.
• Must be able to multi task and stay organized.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
• Pass a criminal background check, credit check, and drug test. Also subject to random drug testing at the company’s request.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The BDC Representatives physical requirements include:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• Employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• The employee must be able to lift or move items at least 20 pounds
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Team Members regularly works 40 hours per week. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member will typically be in the Service Drive seated at a desk. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and combustibles if visiting the outside lot or the service areas. Typically, the BDC Rep will be in an office setting that can be a fast paced working environment, but typically the environment is quiet and calm.

The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderately loud. If walking through the service areas can be exposed to loud noises and dangerous work environments.
