Position: Ship fitter with Security Clearance

We are currently seeking skilled Ship fitter s for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals. Note :
This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role. Overview :
Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures for ship construction and repair. Responsibilities :
* Cut, shape, and weld structural steel for ship frames.
* Install bulkheads, decks, and foundations.
* Read blueprints and technical drawings.
* Use precision measuring and cutting tools. Qualifications :
* Active DoD Secret clearance required .
* 4+ years of shipfitting experience, with at least 2+ years on Navy S hips.
* Completion of a formal trade training program (trade school, military training, apprenticeship, or equivalent) required .
* Strong metal fabrication skills.
