Leo Tech LLC is a certified woman-owned small business started in 2015 by Melody Vansandt. She has over 24 years of experience working as a Defense Contractor and Consultant and has held positions as Director of Pricing, Contracts Manager, Program Manager, and EVM Manager.

After decades of hard work in contracting and program management, she realized she wanted to form a company that genuinely cared for its customers and employees. Since then, her goal has been to treat her customers and employees how she would want to be treated. She has learned what does and doesn't work through personal experience and never wants to be a President/CEO who doesn't know her people.

Authority to act on all matters relating to the daily operations of the contract.

Plan, direct, or coordinate forklift operations and their functions. Overall technical competence and knowledge of trade theory and up-to-date trade practices in the ship repair industry.

• Have the ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications, and blueprints.
• Be knowledgeable in the operation of powered machinery/tooling/equipment relevant to the trade skills.
• Be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments normally associated with cognizant shipyard trades.
• Be familiar with materials associated with the ship repair industry.
• Have the ability to recognize working conditions or use of materials that require initiation of safety precautions, and have the PPE for said conditions or materials.
• Have working knowledge of how to read and understand the information provided in an MSDS.
• Supervisors must be qualified to wear safety harnesses and work from scaffolds or platforms where the drop-off is greater than five (5) feet.

• Minimum of a high school diploma and/or successful completion of a related trade or industrial school.

• Current Secret Security Clearance

• Minimum of a high school diploma and/or successful completion of a related trade or industrial school.

• 10 years of experience as a project manager and/or supervisor in repair and maintenance efforts onboard U.S. Navy ships.

• PMP
