Position: IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will evaluate logs to determine possible causes of issues utilizing various software to determine cause and corrective actions to be taken.
* You will have knowledge and skill in the latest Windows Active Directory Infrastructure, including Group Policy administration, Enterprise Domain maintenance, and DNS maintenance.
* You will be proficient with the latest Virtual Server and Workstation software / hardware infrastructure such as VMWARE ESX, Windows Hyper-V, or VMWARE VDI.
* You will be familiar with databases and web technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server and IIS.
* You will possess good communication skills, and excellent analytical skills and an ability to interface effectively with senior management and diverse user groups to include oral/ visual presentations.
* You will update the shipyard's disaster recovery plans to respond to new security requirements and be able to advise and present plans to IT management for review and approval. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (451), proficiency level (Intermediate) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience analyzing and troubleshooting recurring and emergency issues with hardware, software, and firmware to restore normal operations and minimize downtime across shipyard systems.
* Experience leading the planning, implementation, and management of backup and recovery solutions, ensuring the integrity and recoverability of critical systems and data in accordance with Information Technology (IT) security policies.
* Experience supporting cybersecurity incident response efforts, diagnosing and remediating security vulnerabilities, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of shipyard systems and networks.
