Location:

Field-based with required travel between Portsmouth and Southampton.

We have an exciting opportunity for accomplished and ambitious New Business Managers to join our growing team, where you will promote ‘usership over ownership’ to maximise sales opportunities across your territory.

To be successful, you will build a detailed picture of your local marketplace, target businesses to understand their objectives, identify new opportunities, and showcase our cutting‑edge vehicle and support services.

With a closely‑knit, centralised support hub helping you prepare carefully designed solutions and tailored proposals for your clients, you can focus on what you are good at—developing your pipeline, bringing the Northgate experience to life, and making us the partner of choice.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, enhanced by a commission scheme plus a company car. Realistic OTE of £70,000. Top performers can hit a commission cap of £77,500 on top of salary.

Annual leave:
Start with 24 days, increasing to 26 days with service. Public holidays and an extra day’s leave to celebrate your birthday.

Pension: generous employer contributions of 5%.

About You
  • Proven success in B2B new business roles, creating new opportunities through self‑sourced, decision‑maker conversations. This is not an account management role.
  • Resourceful and tenacious pipeline builder with a well‑developed toolkit of lead‑generation approaches, including cold calling, prospecting, door knocking, and vehicle spotting.
  • Can develop personalised, multi‑product/service offerings and prepare proposals and implementation documentation to deliver the perfect solution to clients.
  • Ambassador for the brand, a credible and assured networker building profitable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Preferably experienced in the light commercial vehicle market or contract hire sector, though the priority is a drive for performance and success.
