Supply Chain Lead – Sub‑Tier Risk Management

Join BAE Systems as the Supply Chain Lead – Sub‑Tier Risk Management. This role focuses on sub‑tier management risk within our business, with a wide geographic reach across the UK and flexible working arrangements.

• Lead the design, deployment and ongoing management of sub‑tier mapping methodology within the Business.
• Collaborate with Sector & Group to share best practice and lessons learned.
• Train and support the Supply Chain teams on sub‑tier process, tools and implementation.
• Work with commercial and project teams to understand contractual flow downs related to sub‑tier mapping and cooperate with project and BW teams.
• Engage with suppliers to promote the benefits of sub‑tier mapping and ensure requirements are clearly understood and data submission is accurate and meaningful.
• Interrogate datasets to assess potential risk impacts on sub‑tier capability to deliver.
• Prepare and present updates on sub‑tier progress, risk exposure and trends.
• Deputise for the Risk and Performance manager when required.

• Good understanding of the supply‑chain end‑to‑end process, including supplier management, procurement, supplier development and risk management.
• Good understanding of commercial agreements and associated flow‑down terms that impact supply chain.
• Experience interpreting data to drive informed decision making.
• Strong critical thinking and analysis skills in a supply‑chain or comparable environment.
• Experience working within a complex supply‑chain environment.
