- Writing quality code for plugins and to implement new features on test harnesses.
- Assisting with the creation of deployment guide documents for the systems.
- Factory acceptance testing of software systems.
- Equipment setup for development and deployment.
- Research into software solutions that could be used for projects.
- Agile development process using Jira to progress through projects.
- On ship deployment of software systems for real life use.
- BSc (Honours) in Digital and Technology Solutions, with a specialism in Software Engineering.
- At the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain a nationally recognised Apprenticeship Completion Certificate.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9‑4/A*‑C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject and 1 of the following:
- 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject.
- An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points).
