Workshop Manager

Source Solutions are working with an established, reputable and growing engineering and environmental services business, in identifying an experienced engineer and team leader, to take a key Workshop Manager role at their main Portsmouth site - this is a position born out of growth and as such, will grow and develop around the successful candidate as the department itself does so.

At its core, the Workshop Manager role requires someone with a good engineering grasp (mechanical) and the ability to learn new concepts, but who can also comfortably deal with customers and senior management comfortably as the role takes on a more operational standing – as such it is not overly important which industry or what type of workshop the Workshop Manager has come from.

The small team requires a strong leader, someone who can guide and develop them as well as set out firm expectations and goals, ensuring that customer needs are always front and centre.

Workshop Manager profile:

* Strong grasp of engineering (mechanically ideally)

* Experience of leading small teams of technicians and/or engineers

* Experience in a workshop environment, working with range of tools and processes

* Ability to deal with various personalities and adaptability to changing requirements

* Good communication skills and ability to deal with clients
