Role DescriptionBased on our clients site in central London Monday - Friday. The Audio Visual Onsite Technician provides day-to-day technical support and operational management of all AV systems at the client site. The role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV and video conferencing (VC) systems to ensure seamless meeting and event delivery. The technician acts as the first point of contact for all AV-related issues, ensuring an excellent end-user experience.
KeyDuties
- Provide daily operational support for all audio-visual and video conferencing systems in meeting rooms, event spaces, and collaboration areas.
- Perform setup, testing, and operation of AV and VC systems for internal and external meetings, presentations, and live events.
- Deliver high-quality support for platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and similar VC technologies.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults promptly, escalating issues when required.
- Conduct regular room checks, preventative maintenance, and ensure all AV equipment is operational and ready for use.
- Assist in the coordination of AV logistics for large meetings, town halls, and special events.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Provide user support and guidance on AV best practices and system usage.
- Work closely with IT, facilities, and external vendors to ensure service continuity and system reliability.
- Adhere to onsite health and safety standards and maintain equipment inventory and asset tracking.
- The AV team will be required to work on a rotating weekly shift pattern as part of a continuous cycle. Standard shift times will be: 07:00 – 15:00, 08:00 – 16:00, 11:00 – 19:00 (shift patterns will rotate each week to ensure full coverage and support across operational hours. Flexibility is essential to meet business and client needs.)
