Key Details- Band 5 – Salary £31,049 – £37,796
- Fixed‑Term Contract – 2 years
- Location – Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth

The role is a member of the Group Digital Service, within the IT function, supporting the OneEPR Programme, which implements a single integrated electronic patient record across the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
Responsibilities- Provide second‑line mobile site engineering support, resolving complex technical issues and meeting SLA targets.
- Assist with software and hardware installations or managed work.
- Enable ITIL processes, delivering Incident Management and Request Fulfilment guidance.
- Escalate calls to third‑line technical support staff or 3rd‑party suppliers where relevant.
- Contribute to assessment of potential technology innovations and, where approved, assist their implementation.
- Log and manage all support interactions accurately and document troubleshooting and resolution.
- Install hardware or software following procurement processes.
- Resolve IT issues by telephone, remote support technologies or on‑site visits to remote locations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and a professional experience for service users.
- Maintain personal and professional development and participate in training activities.
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
- Occasionally work flexibly to meet service demands.
- Participate in an out‑of‑hours technical support on‑call team.
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in computing or related field.
- Higher National Diploma in IT (HND).
- Technical accreditation in at least one specialised IT area (e.g., Microsoft MCTS/MCITP, Cisco CCNA).
- ITIL Foundation Certificate.
- Advanced technical accreditation (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Virtualisation Expert (CVE)).
