In Portsmouth we are proud to be at the forefront of integrated multi‑agency work with neurodiverse children and their families. This new multidisciplinary service brings together experts from a range of fields to provide universal and targeted information, advice and guidance.
This exciting role will give you the opportunity to be part of our work alongside a range of professionals with ND expertise. You will offer consultation to professionals, and assessment, advice and therapeutic intervention to young people and their families. You will foster close relationships with colleagues in Education, Health and Social Care, children and their families to ensure we understand and meet the challenges they face when children have additional needs.
We are looking for someone passionate and enthusiastic about Neurodiversity and the team’s objectives. We want someone who already champions the principles and values of the ND MDT service:

- The Neurodevelopmental Practitioner will work within the Neurodiversity Multidisciplinary Team to assess children and young people for neurodevelopmental differences (i.e., ADHD and ASD), and to provide post assessment guidance and therapeutic intervention to family and networks as per need.
- Uses clinical judgement in relation to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients, undertaking a range of clinical actions including developmental assessment, school observation/liaison and individual observation of the child.
- Nationally recognised core qualification i.e., RN, RMN, Social work, Psychology, Occupational Therapist, HCPC.
- Professional qualification at first degree level or equivalent.
