Design Engineer

Contract Design Engineer, commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, Worthing areas

* 6 – 8 months contract role.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Inventor CAD experience to work on the design of cutting-edge engineering platforms and mechanical systems.

Your background as a Contract Design Engineer:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Inventor CAD skills.

* A background in mechanical systems design.

* Experience designing moving mechanisms - sliding systems, actuators, ejector assemblies or similar technology is highly advantageous.

* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-moving teams.

Contract Design Engineer Responsibilities:

* Developing detailed mechanical designs for pressure-rated subsea sliding doors and ejector mechanisms.

* Creating, refining and releasing high-quality CAD designs, models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, systems, electrical) to integrate mechanical assemblies into larger vehicle platforms.
