Site Agent

Position: Site Agent (Permanent)
Abatec is partnering with a well-established civil engineering contractor to recruit a Site Agent on a permanent basis. The role sits within the water and heavy civil engineering sector, supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure and earthworks scheme in the South of England.

This position would suit a hands-on Site Agent who enjoys taking ownership of site delivery and working closely with project leadership to drive performance across safety, quality, programme and cost, within a stable, long-term project environment.

As Site Agent you will:

* Taking day-to-day responsibility for site delivery, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required standards

* Implementing and maintaining health & safety, quality and environmental controls in line with project and company procedures

* Managing and coordinating subcontractors, plant, materials and suppliers on site

* Preparing and submitting weekly reports on progress for review by the Project Manager or Contract Manager for inclusion in the project’s financial CVRs and forecasts to completion

* Liaising with the site manager and foreman as to what engineering is needed onsite and holding daily engineering briefings with the onsite engineers.

* Actively resolve contractual issues with both clients and suppliers while also maintaining a good relationship

Our client requires a Site Agent with:

* Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering

* Previous experience as a Site Agent within the Civil Engineering industry and preferably large-scale earthworks projects

* Experience in Design & Build contracts

* An understanding and experience of NEC 4 contracts

* SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS Managers card

Salary/Benefits:

* £55,000 - £65,000 p/a
