Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Service Engineer needed to join a manufacturer of packaging machinery and automation equipment.

The Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Service Engineer will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings to build various types of machinery.

The successful Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Service Engineer will be commutable to Andover and ideally have experience with mechanical fault-finding & electro-mechanical systems.

The Role:

• The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings to build various types of machinery.
• The Mechanical Fitter will work independently and as part of the team to meet project delivery dates.
• The Mechanical Fitter will occasionally need to use different machinery such as lathes and mills.
• The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for reporting any issues during assembly to the Engineering Manager.
• Experience with automation equipment machines.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Service Engineer or similar position.
• Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated with a strong initiative.
• Commutable to Andover.
