Project Manager – Compliance & Safety
Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)
Service Area: Infrastructure Programme
Hours of Work: 37 per week
What You’ll be doing:- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects within the programme.
- Ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Lead delivery of construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards, and statutory safety frameworks.
- Manage day‑to‑day project activities including scope, schedule, cost, and quality, aligning with programme strategy.
Experience:
- Proven track record delivering projects and full end‑to‑end delivery of project lifecycle, with expertise in fire engineering, water hygiene, asbestos management.
- Strong collaborative ability, decision‑making, and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning capability and active listening skills to influence and drive projects forward on time and on budget.
- Technical leadership with regulatory fluency and ability to manage safety‑critical elements within structural projects from concept to completion.
