Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students within a school setting in Portsmouth, VA. This contract position is for the current school year and offers the opportunity to positively impact student development through tailored therapeutic interventions.

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
• Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and student needs
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Portsmouth, VA

• Provide occupational therapy services aligned with students  individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas needing support
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
• Document progress and update therapy goals regularly
• Participate in educational team meetings as needed

• Gain valuable experience working within a school-based practice
• Engage in meaningful work supporting student success and independence
• Work within a structured school calendar for the current school year
