Financial Accountant

Prestigious group of manufacturing companies are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to work within a close-knit finance team and cover a period of maternity leave.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and be responsible for statutory reporting and liaison with external auditors, as well as the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated accounts for submission to Group Head Office.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Preparation of monthly accounts and quarterly consolidated accounts for submission to Group Head Office.
• Preparation of quarterly consolidated accounts.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, with particular responsibility for the accounting of accruals and prepayments.
• Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements.
• VAT return preparation.
• Manager year-end preparation readiness for external audit.

Suitable candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
• Strong technical financial accounting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ideally, you have reported on subsidiaries and reported to a group outside of the UK.
