Summary

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role plays a critical leadership position to effectively develop and expand the company’s property asset portfolio, in line with strategic growth targets, through site development and M&A. The VP of Development serves as a lead for marine and waterfront development projects, from planning and permitting to design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee project planning, permitting, design coordination, and execution
  • Lead M&A due diligence and post-acquisition development planning
  • Manage internal teams and external partners (engineers, architects, contractors)
  • Drive entitlement efforts and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support financial modeling, pro formas, and long-range capital planning
  • Evaluate project risks and develop data driven solutions
  • Integrate operational needs of marine/boatyard facilities into development plans
  • Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards
Requirements
  • 10+ years in project or infrastructure development
  • Strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Travel at least 5 days per month to project sites
  • Experience with marine, waterfront, or boatyard environments (preferred)
  • Strong permitting and entitlement expertise
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and cross functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
Preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD LT
  • Experience aligning operational, technical, and financial development strategies
