Riverview Retirement Center with 24 units, located in Portsmouth, Ohio, is a senior apartment community proudly managed by National Church Residences-the nation's largest nonprofit provider of affordable senior housing, serving over 46,000 seniors across 360+ communities nationwide.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who shares our passion for advancing better living and care for seniors!

On-Call Requirement:

This position requires availability for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs

* Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical system issues

* Maintain interior and exterior common areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness

* Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

* Supervise and train junior maintenance staff, when applicable

* Manage inventory, equipment, and maintenance supplies

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

* 2+ years of residential or senior housing maintenance experience preferred

* Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills

* Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, OSHA, etc.) a plus

* Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions

* Valid driver's license required
