Schedule:

monday - friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

• **$8,000 retention bonus*
* • pay: $35-$40/hour

Basic purpose
To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• perform preventative maintenance within dot standards.

• complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).

• take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.

• utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.

• maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.

• willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.

• other duties as assigned by manager.

Work environment

• onsite: the associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a us foods maintenance facility.

• ability to work flexible schedule.

• must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Minimum qualifications

• must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.

• must furnish own personal hand tools.

• able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).

• must possess a valid driver‘s license.

• high school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred qualifications

• valid class a cdl license and dot certification

• experience with maximo fleet maintenance system

• previous mechanical and pm program experience

• experience using fleet maintenance software

• welding ability

Relationships

• internal: all fleet technicians, drivers, coordinators and manager

• external: n/a

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $35 and $40.
