Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be on the front lines of Bridge Appliances’ growth — identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities across the New England
. You’re a foodie who loves discovering new local spots, connecting with owners and staff, and building relationships over a coffee and breakfast sandwich.
You’ll engage with restaurants, cafés, hotels, and food service operators to introduce automated kitchen solutions that streamline operations and improve efficiency. This role is perfect for someone motivated, curious, and hands‑on — from cold calls and walk‑ins to trade shows and demos, you love creating opportunities and turning conversations into partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new leads through outbound outreach, inbound inquiries, and on‑site visits.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of potential customers across assigned territories and verticals.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects’ operations, challenges, and fit for automation.
- Schedule product demos and support senior sales reps throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain accurate and detailed activity tracking in the CRM (Hub Spot).
- Collaborate with marketing and field operations teams to optimize lead generation and conversion.
- Represent Bridge at events, trade shows, and customer meetings to spark interest and build awareness.
- Continuously refine outreach strategies and messaging based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or hospitality.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Experience selling to or working in restaurants, hotels, or food service environments is a plus.
- Comfortable managing a high‑volume outreach cadence through email, calls, and in‑person visits.
- Proficient with CRM platforms such as Hub Spot
, Salesforce
, or similar. - Willingness to travel to regional cities as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation — mileage will be reimbursed.
