The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a full-time vacancy for a Retail Store Manager I.
SummaryTo perform routine supervisory duties in assisting with the operation of a New Hampshire Retail Outlet Store, to ensure exceptional customer service, maximize profits, and implement and follow all New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules and policies.
Minimum Qualifications- Education/
Experience:
Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school. - License/Certification:
Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to continuously lift material up to 25 pounds, with frequent lifting of cases of alcohol weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to work a schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours.
One year of experience in a public contact, retail store, cash-handling position preferred.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service by building a loyal customer base and uphold NH Liquor Commission and State of New Hampshire reputation.
- Act as a store manager in a low volume retail environment and supervise store personnel up to the Retail Salesperson III level.
- In a large volume store, assist with daily store operations (opening/closing, merchandising displays, deposits, inventory).
- Provide routine training and guidance to store employees.
- Maintain stock and inventory levels; anticipate sale items as needed.
- Process sales transactions and bank deposits; review computer printouts and make recommendations to the Store Manager.
- Supervise store personnel and fill in for higher-level Store Manager as needed.
- Occasionally work in other stores requiring travel to locations.
- When not assisting the Store Manager, serve as Retail Salesperson as needed.
