The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a full-time vacancy for a Retail Store Manager I.

To perform routine supervisory duties in assisting with the operation of a New Hampshire Retail Outlet Store, to ensure exceptional customer service, maximize profits, and implement and follow all New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules and policies.

  Experience:
  
  Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• License/Certification:
  Valid driver’s license

• Must be able to continuously lift material up to 25 pounds, with frequent lifting of cases of alcohol weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to work a schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours.

One year of experience in a public contact, retail store, cash-handling position preferred.

• Provide exceptional customer service by building a loyal customer base and uphold NH Liquor Commission and State of New Hampshire reputation.
• Act as a store manager in a low volume retail environment and supervise store personnel up to the Retail Salesperson III level.
• In a large volume store, assist with daily store operations (opening/closing, merchandising displays, deposits, inventory).
• Provide routine training and guidance to store employees.
• Maintain stock and inventory levels; anticipate sale items as needed.
• Process sales transactions and bank deposits; review computer printouts and make recommendations to the Store Manager.
• Supervise store personnel and fill in for higher-level Store Manager as needed.
• Occasionally work in other stores requiring travel to locations.
• When not assisting the Store Manager, serve as Retail Salesperson as needed.
