QC Analyst I - Microbial Control
Location:
Portsmouth, NH, USA. The actual location of this job is in Portsmouth, NH, USA.
Join our Quality Microbial Control team on a specialized Sunday – Wednesday (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) shift. In this role, you will support our 2k asset by performing critical environmental and utility monitoring, ensuring our manufacturing environment meets the rigorous standards required for life-saving drug production.

What you will do- Microbial Testing: Execute routine test samples for In-Process, Lot Release, and Stability studies to support the 2k asset production schedule.
- Facility Monitoring: Support the monitoring and sampling of critical utilities and HVAC systems throughout the facility to ensure a state of microbial control.
- Data Integrity: Apply Data Integrity principles in all aspects of work, ensuring compliance with Lonza policies and cGMP standards.
- Problem Solving: Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, recognizing and escalating deviations from accepted practices as required.
- Documentation: Utilize laboratory computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) to accurately record and report high-quality results.
- Safety & Quality: Take personal responsibility for safety and maintain a "Quality First" mindset, notifying management of any potential GMP deficiencies or process deviations.
- Team
Collaboration:
Act as an engaged member of the Microbial Control team, maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related Science field is preferred.
- Analytical
Skills:
Strong ability to interpret data and follow complex instructions within defined procedures and practices. - Agility & Learning: A desire to learn from experience and treat errors as opportunities for professional growth.
- Compliance Mindset: Commitment to adherence to cGMPs and the ability to exercise sound judgment to determine appropriate actions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, necessary for reporting and collaborating within a shift-based team.
- Dependability: Ability to work the assigned Sunday – Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM shift, arriving on time and maintaining focus on manufacturing demands.
