Job Summary And Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN demonstrates independence in planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with the NH Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, clinical and administrative policies.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS &

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition.
  • Provide assessment and care of the patients’ history and medical diagnosis.
  • Coordinates with surgeon’s offices to gather required documentation prior to the date of the procedure that is scheduled.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
  • Provide safe knowledge of medications that must be omitted and continued prior to the scheduled procedure.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in all body systems so appropriate testing is done prior to the procedure.
  • Assists physicians’ offices with scheduling and coordinating care of their patients prior to all scheduled procedures.
  • Utilizes all computer systems required for job function and able to demonstrate timely and accurately documentation.
  • Follows up with all patients with concerns on care and any medication information.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, ACLS, PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Registered Nurse state of New Hampshire or valid compact license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
