Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of trauma patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team.
- Perform procedures such as wound care, suturing, and splinting.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on post-trauma care and recovery.
- Participate in trauma surgeries and emergency interventions.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to protocols, guidelines, and regulations related to trauma care.
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Trauma Nursing or Trauma Surgery preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a trauma center or emergency department.
- Strong knowledge of trauma assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Schedule:
8 or 12-hour shifts
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Cases:
Trauma surgery first assist, critical care rounding
EMR:
Meditech Expanse
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
