The Fedcap Group is hiring a Recovery Specialist for a full-time, temp-to-perm role at a mission-driven organization serving the Seacoast community. This opportunity allows you to start working immediately while moving toward a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs. In this role, you’ll support recovery coaching, assist with programming and volunteer coordination, and collaborate with staff and community partners.
Responsibilities- Facilitate weekly parenting and/or recovery groups, check in with participants and provide one-on-one support when needed, coordinate, schedule and conduct intake for these individual sessions.
- Ensure each member has proper consent, comprehensive intake, BARC-10 and quality of documented and securely retained.
- Understand and apply 42 CFR Part II to recovery community practice setting.
- Coordinate weekly mutual aid meetings ensuring adequate participation and facilitator communication. Update social media platforms in accordance with daily schedule and special events.
- Provide community outreach to encourage new participants in advance of ongoing meetings and recovery programming as appropriate.
- Keep current and accurate data, including but not limited to documentation pertaining to program participation, new members, center activities, special events and peer support services.
- Perform other related duties/projects as assigned. This description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities.
- Coordinate and schedule volunteers with at least one volunteer on site at all times during working hours.
- Assist in developing volunteer corps program.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in the field or an equivalent of higher education in the fields of social work, psychology, human services, or sociology.
- Good interpersonal skills, non-judgmental attitude.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Personal and driving background checks.
- Well-written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of network and computer systems.
- Knowledge of Organization’s mission, vision and goals and execution of policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills; ability to participate in meetings, write clearly, and informatively. Initiative – demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibit sound judgment, prioritize and manage time, and support multiple team members simultaneously.
- Ensure work and information are complete and accurate; prepare thoroughly for meetings, events and presentations; follow up to ensure agreements and commitments are fulfilled.
- Approach others tactfully, react well under pressure, treat others with respect, accept responsibility, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong leadership capability with ability to develop strategy, deploy structure, drive results, and maintain ethical values.
$18 to $20 / hour
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position; expected to be 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This is a temp-to-perm position, with the strong potential to convert to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and organizational needs.
TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
