Description2nd shift role, working 3PM to 12AM Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays. Blue Mantis is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Network Systems Administrator to support enterprise-class data centers and ensure seamless network operations. This role focuses on ensuring high availability and performance of network infrastructure while contributing to game‑day success.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, capable of multitasking, and committed to excellence in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment. In addition to supporting server and cloud environments, you will have experience with networking, supporting a wide array of technologies for company infrastructure and game‑day operations. Key Responsibilities- Server Administration: Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
- Cloud Operations: Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
- Virtualization: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot VMware environments.
- System Monitoring: Use Solar Winds and Data Dog to ensure network reliability.
- Incident Management: Lead network‑related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Security Best Practices: Implement secure networking solutions in on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, topology maps, and procedures.
Required Skills
- NOC operations with expertise in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using Service
NOW ticketing. - Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, and virtualization/containerization technologies.
- Backup and DR support with Rubrik and Zerto.
- Firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools such as Solar Winds.
- Automation tools and scripting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Network troubleshooting in data center environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki).
- Scripting (Python, Power Shell, Bash) for automating server and cloud operations.
- Cloud‑based networking solutions in AWS, Azure, or O365.
- Infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Security best practices, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
- Advanced video streaming technologies and CDNs.
- Infrastructure performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Provide game‑day support on major holidays.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent), ITIL, and other relevant server/cloud certifications.
- Experience: Expertise in a complex, multisite environment.
